We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver/Yard Operative to join the team in our busy production facility in Buckley on a full time, 40 hours contract.
The overall purpose of the role is to ensure product is collated and loaded as well as handling incoming and outgoing products and to support the flow of work through the factory to dispatch, training will be given.
This position predominantly involves working outside and involves some manual lifting.
The role will also involve driving duties, ensuring products are delivered to sites in a timely manner. This will be dependent on business requirements. Products must be on site for 7/7.30am, therefore your start times will be dictated by the location of your delivery. Needless to say, early starts ought to be expected.
We operate vehicles from 3.5 - 7.5 tonne vehicles, this role will involve driving 3.5 tonne vans.
A forklift truck licence would be desirable but is not essential.
The main requirements of the role are as follows: -
- Delivering product to sites adhering to all Manual Handling and Health & Safety protocols
- Handling incoming and outgoing product
- Identify and rectify (or report) Health & Safety issues with regards to tidiness and accessibility of outside areas
- Ensure the yard is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Be prepared to undertake job related training as and when required
- Undertake any other duties as directed
