Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Tyre Fitter / Workshop Manager to lead our tyre fitting operations and oversee workshop activities. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all tyre fitting, maintenance, and repair services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage a workshop environment with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties
- Perform tyre fitting, repairs, maintenance, and replacements using hand tools and power tools with precision and care.
- Lead daily workshop operations, coordinating tasks among team members to ensure timely service delivery.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional maintenance or repair needs beyond tyres.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist customers by providing expert advice on tyre selection, maintenance tips, and related vehicle issues.
- Manage stock levels of tyres, tools, and workshop supplies; place orders as needed to ensure availability.
- Train and supervise junior staff or apprentices in proper tyre fitting techniques and workshop procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a tyre fitter or in a similar automotive workshop role with hands-on mechanical knowledge.
- Strong proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in vehicle maintenance and tyre fitting.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards within a workshop environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling tyres or equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or supervising a team preferred.
- Valid driving license; relevant certifications in automotive repair or tyre fitting are advantageous but not mandatory.
