Contract Type: Zero-hours (This is a Christmas peak period role)
Working Pattern: 10am start (usually 7-8 hours long shift)

Job Purpose
As an Indoor Mail Sorter, you will play a key role in ensuring that mail and parcels are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for sorting items according to delivery routes, preparing shipments for onward transportation, and helping to maintain a reliable postal service for customers and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
· Unload and load parcels and mail items safely and efficiently.
· Sort parcels and mail to the correct delivery routes and destinations.
· Prepare trailers and consignments for drivers and onward transport.
· Ensure all items are processed accurately and within operational deadlines.
· Maintain a high level of attention to detail when handling mail and parcels.
· Provide a dependable service, recognizing the importance of every item being delivered correctly and on time.
· Work collaboratively as part of the Angard Staffing workforce and support colleagues as required.
· Follow all health and safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Essential Requirements
· Ability to work a variety of shifts between Monday and Saturday.
· Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards of work.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
· Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused approach.
· Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting.
Pre-Employment Checks
The following checks will be carried out prior to starting:
Right to Work check (UK)
Credit check
Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS)
Police Clearance Certificate (overseas criminal record check) if required.
(Please note that if you have not been a resident in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, you will need to provide a Police Clearance Certificate from the country you were residing in.)
Pay Rates
Pay is shift-dependent. Please note current vacancies are for day shifts only .
Early Shift (Start & Finish between 05:31–19:59): £13.69 per hour
Late Shift (Finish between 21:40–01:59): £15.14 per hour
Night Shift (Three hours across 23:00–05:00): £16.44 per hour
