Little Stars was established in 2023. We are a new Early Years setting close to the town centre. We have a newly renovated indoor space and a vast green outdoor space with a field, forest and fruit orchard. We are passionate about making learning fun and memorable for our children. As a community nursery, we work very closely with parents and carers and establish positive relationships with them for the betterment of their child.
Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
We are looking for someone who is ideally qualified to a level 3 in Early Years to join our setting; someone who has a good knowledge of the EYFS, lively and passionate in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn at their own pace and be treated as an individual.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our team at Little Stars. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the EYFS, experience working with children from birth to 5 including the planning and delivery of activities that support children’s interests and next steps.
The typical duties of this role will include: -
- Lead and provide high quality care and education for all children.
- Adopt a creative approach to curriculum delivery and nurture children.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in learning outdoors.
- To lead and provide a broad and balanced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that will meet the requirements of relevant National and Local standards.
- To liaise with and provide professional advice to, parents/carers; and other professionals involved with each child.
- To understand and operate the policies and procedures of the setting for the care and education of the children.
- To support parents, carers and families in the successful admission and transition of their children.
- To organise and participate in interesting and appropriate educational visits for children and families, observing health and safety policies and making risk assessments.
