We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our fantastic at Porta Tapas, Altrincham.
The role comes with good hours, good pay (up to £33,000), and good tips (estimated at a further £8000 tips per year). ie a total package of approximately £41,000.

Helping to lead a small team (approx. 5 chefs), the role will suit an experienced chef who enjoys a fast paced kitchen and the buzz of a busy service.
You must be a ‘people person’ who enjoys building relationships, inspiring and motivating a happy team.
You will be supported and led by our head chef Rafal and by our group head chef Jose Garzon, and chef owner Joe.
Knowledge of Spanish cuisine is an advantage, but not essential – training will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As Sous Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Helping to lead a small team of chefs, running the kitchen in the head chefs absence.
- Daily ordering & stock management.
- Provide inspiration for the menu and create daily specials.
- Working with the head chef to manage staff & rotas.
- Training and encouraging junior staff.
- Ensuring that legal and company requirements are adhered to in respect of hygiene, health & safety.
- Maintaining high standards of the Porta kitchens
