Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions. Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors. Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families’ own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members.
We have now entered an exciting new chapter. We've recently completed an incredible £21.9 million transformation of our hospice, creating a purpose-built environment with outstanding new facilities for children, young people, and their families. This vision has always been about ensuring every family, whether visiting for short breaks, symptom control or end-of-life care, receives the very best specialist support in a place that truly feels like home. With our new children's wing open and our dedicated teenager and young adult facility now welcoming young people, we're ready to make an even bigger difference for families across Yorkshire for many years to come.
As part of this transformation, we've created beautiful new outdoor spaces and gardens, and we're looking for a passionate Gardener / Maintenance Operative to play a vital part in maintaining and developing our site, helping create a safe, welcoming, and peaceful environment for everyone who visits Martin House.
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across the estate, ensuring our grounds, gardens, and equipment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
