We would like to invite you to come and join our Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service in Fife. Our dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and healthcare support workers work with the people of Fife aged 16 years and over who are experiencing mental health problems. The posts are based in a variety of locations in order to contribute to and oversee delivery of Occupational Therapy within both community and in-patient settings, and to ensure agility to prioritise clinical risk and demand across the Mental Health Occupational Therapy Service. This post is predominantly based within our older adult services.
We are keen to hear from both existing Band 6 Occupational Therapists, and Band 5 Occupational Therapists looking to make the next step in their career, who possess the skills, knowledge, and interest to develop professionally and make a positive impact within the field of mental health.
The post will offer you the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients using effective and autonomous clinical decision making and evidence based practices to enable patients to achieve their personal outcomes.
We are a service that is forward thinking and dynamic and are always striving to improve our services for our patients and staff. We are currently engaging in a programme of transformational change and development in line with national and local strategy, standards and priorities for Mental Health and Occupational Therapy services. You would be actively involved in service redesign work and would a key part of re-shaping the way Occupational Therapy services are developed and delivered in Fife.
We aim to create a supportive work and innovative environment that enables professional and personal development. As well as providing a comprehensive induction programme, we are committed to the provision of protected CPD time, In-service Training, provision of clinical and service development forums, and Fife’s established clinical supervision framework to support you to carry out and develop within your role, and lead and contribute in the development of others.
As a service, we recognize that staff are our biggest assets and we value staff, their wellbeing, safety, creativity and innovation. We promote a culture of openness, honesty, transparency and teamworking where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, care and compassion.

AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can be great for planning and preparing your applicationbut your answers must be your own.
-
Show us the real you: Your application should reflect your skills, experience, and motivations authentically.
-
Use AI wisely: It’s fine to use AI for ideas or to check spelling and grammar, but don’t let it write your answers.
-
Why this matters: Applications that rely on AI-generated content may be withdrawn. By applying, you confirm your responses are based on your own knowledge and achievements.
Tip: Think of AI as a helper, not a substitute. We want to understand younot an AI tool.
