Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Builders Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on-site, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of building projects. This role offers valuable experience within the construction industry and is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of building sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment
- Supporting bricklayers, carpenters, and other tradespeople as required
- Moving and organising materials around the site safely and efficiently
- Assisting with site safety measures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Cleaning tools and equipment after use to maintain a safe working environment
- Following instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks effectively
- Ensuring the work area remains tidy and free from hazards throughout the day
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the day
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
- A valid UK driving licence is beneficial but not mandatory
