About Marina Lodge
Marina Lodge is looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead our service and play a key role in shaping its next stage of development.
This is an opportunity for a confident, forward-thinking manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and creating a positive environment for both residents and staff.
You will have overall responsibility for the leadership, governance, quality, compliance and performance of the service, working closely with the Providers, Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, residents, families and external professionals.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will provide strong strategic leadership while remaining visible and connected to the day-to-day experience of residents and staff.
Approximately 25% of your working week will be floor-based, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with residents, observe practice, support your management team and maintain a genuine understanding of the service.
The remaining time will focus on governance, compliance, workforce management, HR, service development and external partnerships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing overall leadership and direction for Marina Lodge.
- Ensuring the service meets CQC requirements and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining oversight of governance, compliance and quality assurance systems.
- Managing and maintaining the service's digital compliance dashboard and action trackers.
- Preparing monthly governance reports and attending monthly meetings with the Providers.
- Setting, monitoring and reviewing service KPIs and performance indicators, identifying trends, addressing underperformance and driving continuous improvement.
- Monitoring safeguarding, incidents, complaints, medication, training, staffing and resident outcomes.
- Leading quality improvement and ensuring learning is translated into practice.
- Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Team Leaders through a clear delegated management structure.
- Providing leadership across recruitment, performance management, workforce planning and staff development.
- Leading strategic workforce and succession planning.
- Overseeing the majority of HR matters within the service.
- Building strong relationships with Care Coordinators, Local Authorities, CQC, safeguarding teams, families and other professionals.
- Supporting admissions, placement reviews and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Promoting resident involvement, independence, dignity and choice.
- Spending approximately 25% of your time within the service, engaging with residents and observing staff practice.
- Supporting the service through inspections, audits and external quality assurance activity.
- Having an overview of some weekends and evenings.
