We are a well-established, family-run construction company with 26 years of experience delivering high-quality construction, restoration and conservation projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mason with a strong background in lime work, heritage restoration and conservation to join our skilled team.
The Role
You will be involved in a variety of heritage and restoration projects, working on historic and listed buildings where traditional skills and high standards of workmanship are essential and well as general masonry skills. In addition to this we also carryout general building to residential and some commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Traditional stone masonry and brickwork repairs
- Lime pointing, lime rendering and lime plastering
- Restoration and conservation of historic buildings
- Careful removal and replacement of damaged masonry
- Working to conservation specifications and heritage requirements
- Maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and site safety
- General masonry
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mason within restoration and conservation projects
- Strong knowledge of lime mortars and traditional building techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Own transport and tools
