Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Head of Employee Relations to join our team Based at our offices in London, this pivotal role involves managing employee relations strategies, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with NHS standards. Your contributions will directly support our mission to enhance workforce engagement and operational excellence within the NHS community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop employee relations initiatives aligned with NHS policies and organizational goals.
- Manage complex employee issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with HR teams to implement effective communication strategies.
- Oversee investigations related to workplace conduct and ensure proper documentation.
- Support management in fostering an inclusive, respectful work environment.
- Analyze employee data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance on employment law compliance and best practices.
- Facilitate training sessions for managers on employee relations topics.
- Qualifications
- Proven management experience within human resources or employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of NHS policies, employment law, and HRIS systems such as Workday, Taleo, or PeopleSoft.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Experience supervising teams or managing projects.
- Data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics effectively.
- Preferred: prior experience in healthcare or NHS environment.
- Additional certifications in HR or employment law are advantageous.
- § To provide technical advice and support to the team and managers through the stages of ER cases including leading investigations as necessary, attending hearings and Employment Tribunals as required. Assist the Head of ER to plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting data and information relating to Trust ER cases.
