Job Overview
The role of the Operations Assistant is to assist wherever needed in the Operations department particularly within the dispatch and pricing/servicing areas. The Operations Assistant should be able to cover duties in Operations and all tasks should be performed in a timely and efficient manner. The role will be for 28 hours per week worked over 4days.
Responsibilities
· Unpack parcels and display books as instructed on carts ready for manual and automatic pricing.
· Automatic Pricing.
· Manual Pricing.

· Distribute and release manual and automatic pricing carts.
· Credit requests and returns to Publishers.
· Pick books from customer shelves.
· Invoice books ensure customer requirements are followed and produce manifests for couriers.
· Pack books into boxes for shipping.
· Moving parcels onto a pallet and preparing the pallet for shipment.
· Check that machinery and equipment in the dispatch area is always fully functional. Maintenance of barcode printers used in the Operations Department.
Monitor packaging and stationery items, requesting reordering in good time prior to running out of supplies.
