As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with special educational needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis
-
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible and inclusive lessons
-
Help pupils with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and independence
-
Support students across primary, secondary or post-16 depending on your experience
-
Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils feel calm, focused and ready to learn

Work closely with teachers, therapists, SENCOs and support staff

Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment in Slough
We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who:

Has experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
-
Is confident supporting pupils with learning, communication, sensory or behavioural needs

Has primary, secondary or post-16 experience
-
Is patient, reliable, resilient and passionate about supporting SEND learners
-
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
-
Is comfortable working in a busy specialist school environment in Slough
-
Has a Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one as part of the onboarding process
