Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. Responsibilities
- Planting, watering, fertilising, and pruning trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to promote healthy growth.
- Using hand tools such as spades, rakes, shears, and hoes for planting and maintenance tasks.
- Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently.
- Assisting with landscape design projects by preparing soil beds and laying mulch or gravel.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the work area by removing debris and trimming overgrown foliage.
- Supporting seasonal planting schedules and garden renovation projects.
Skills
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care principles.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools used in landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and upkeep.
- Ability to recognise different plant species and diagnose common issues affecting growth.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan daily tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour including digging, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A genuine interest in gardening, landscape aesthetics, and environmental sustainability.
