Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team. Part Time Contract Driver. Immediate Start.
Other shifts available on a casual basis for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service.
Although a Cornwall Council Taxi Licence and Blue Badge is preferred for an immediate start, we are also interested in new or experienced drivers, we can help with acquiring the necessary licences.
As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and promptly to their destinations while maintaining a clean and well-organised vehicle.
A medical and a DBS check is required for all taxi drivers in Cornwall which must be passed to obtain the licence.
Duties
- Drive passengers to their locations in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain the vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, parents and schools.
- Assisting passengers to their individual needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times, ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Drivers Medical and DBS or current Duel Licence Cornwall.
- Blue Badge for Council Contract or application (assistance provided).
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is advantageous.
- A friendly disposition and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Option to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to assist the business. (Non contract work)
