Canterbury just a short walk from the city centre
Salary
£33,000 per year
Hours
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Includes on-call responsibility
About the Role
As Day Service Manager, youll play a key leadership role in shaping a vibrant and engaging service. No two days are the samefrom coastal trips and swimming to exciting outings like day trips to London.
Youll be at the heart of delivering high-quality, person-centred support, while empowering your team to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated support team
- Deliver and maintain outstanding, person-centred care
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and care standards
- Drive continuous improvement across the service

- 5+ years leadership experience within a care setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
- A hands-on, proactive leadership style
- A genuine passion for supporting autistic individuals
- Commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes

About You
Were looking for a confident, visible leader who can inspire and develop a specialist care team. You will have:
- At least 5 years experience coaching and leading care teams, with a focus on practice leadership
- The ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenges, ensuring safety and positive risk management
- Strong knowledge and experience of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Act, Health and Social Care Act, safeguarding, DoLS, MCA, capacity, and best interest processes
- Ideally, a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
