About the Estate
Huntsham Court is a small country estate located in the Wye Valley. Surrounded by landscaped gardens and countryside, the estate requires ongoing care and maintenance to keep the grounds and outbuildings, looking their best throughout the year.
The Role
We are looking for a practical and reliable Estate Management / Gardening Assistant to help maintain the gardens and grounds of the estate and assist with a variety of general estate duties.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
· Assistance with general gardening tasks (gardening experience not an essential)
· Maintenance of lawns, borders, hedges and planted areas
· General groundskeeping tasks, including fence maintenance. etc
· General estate maintenance duties
Ideal Candidate
· Experience working in large gardens, and landscaped grounds, or a small country estate
· Practical, reliable and hardworking
· Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
· Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
· Chainsaw certificate desirable but not an absolute requirement
· Experience of involvement with a pheasant shoot desirable but not an absolute requirement
Hours
· Part-time: 15–20 hours per week
· Weekdays or weekends but some weekend working would be desirable
Pay & Benefits
· £12.71 – £13.00 per hour depending on experience (self-employed basis)

Own transport is essential as there is no public transport to the property.
