Nursery Manager – near Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £38,000–£55,000 per year (depending on hours, experience and qualifications)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Shifts between 7:30am–6:30pm
Contract: Permanent, all year round
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a well-established early years setting based in a beautiful location close to Reading. With extensive outdoor space and a strong focus on outdoor and child-led learning, this is an exciting opportunity for a confident leader who is committed to delivering high-quality childcare and education.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, support and develop the staff team, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and families. Please note a driver required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team effectively
- Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Oversee nursery operations, staffing, and resources
- Maintain high standards of care and education
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Support continuous improvement across the setting
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and nursery operations
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Confident IT skills, including Word and Excel
- Right to work in the UK
