Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Window Fitter’s Mate to assist in the installation of windows, doors, and glazing systems at domestic and commercial sites. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on attitude who is keen to learn and develop skills within the glazing and construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the window fitter in loading, unloading, and transporting materials and tools to job sites
- Prepare work areas, ensuring they are clean and safe for installation
- Support in removing old windows and doors, and help in the installation of new units
- Seal window and door frames and apply appropriate finishes as directed
- Handle glass, frames, and fittings safely and securely
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Clean and tidy up the site after installation is completed
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction or manual labour preferred but not essential
- Good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of tools and measurements
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not always essential)
Working Hours:
Typically Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (hours may vary depending on job location and workload)
