Overview
The Planning Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and managing installations, surveys, and service visits for stairlift customers. This role ensures efficient use of engineers’ time while maintaining excellent customer service and meeting business targets.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Planning Co-ordinator will play a key role in the efficiency and routing across the UK
Experience in the stairlift industry is preferred, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling & Coordination
- Plan and schedule installation, service, and repair appointments for stairlift engineers.
- Allocate jobs based on engineer availability, location, and skill set.
- Manage daily, weekly, and emergency schedules.
- Customer Communication
- Contact customers to confirm appointments and provide updates.
- Handle scheduling queries, rescheduling requests, and urgent call-outs.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Route Planning & Efficiency
- Optimise engineer routes to reduce travel time and increase productivity.
- Adjust schedules in real-time to accommodate delays, cancellations, or urgent repairs.
- System Management
- Update planning and CRM systems with accurate job details.
- Maintain records of appointments, engineer activity, and job completion.
- Problem Solving
- Respond quickly to breakdowns or emergency repairs.
- Manage last-minute changes and reassign work as required.
- Liaison & Teamwork
- Work closely with engineers, operations teams, and management.
- Communicate parts or access requirements for installations.
Key Competencies:
· A passion for RFT - both internally and externally
· Great organisational skills and attention to detail
· Previous experience in planning, scheduling, or logistics (ideally in engineering, healthcare equipment, or service industries)
· Flexible, with the ability to work in a reactive environment.
