Digital Finishing Minder
Location: Edenbridge
Salary: Circa £28,000, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Typically 7:00am–2:30pm or 12:00pm–7:30pm
Training Hours: Initially 9:00am–4:30pm
I’m recruiting on behalf of an established packaging manufacturer that is looking for a Digital Finishing Minder to join its busy production team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced digital print environment, working across gluing, die-cutting and general finishing. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is keen to develop a career within print and packaging.
The Role
- Feed, pack, set and run the gluing line
- Operate die-cutting and cut-and-crease machinery
- Strip pallets of work following cutting and creasing
- Pre-cut stock using a guillotine when required
- Produce samples and mock-ups using an automated CAD cutting table
- Carry out quality checks on finished products
- Hand-glue samples and short-run jobs
- Wrap, strap and label pallets for dispatch
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly machinery checks
- Organise cutting dies and maintain a tidy production environment
- Communicate any production issues to the relevant teams
- Support other areas of the business when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within manufacturing, ideally packaging
- Digital print experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential
- A positive, practical and hardworking attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable using a computer
- Reliable, flexible and able to work well within a team
- An eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills
