***Looking for full time candidates with hospitality experience only and a right to work in the UK only***
Please note, you can expect an hourly wage starting at around £18 per hour, this is your base wage of £13 per hour plus holiday pay and our Tronc scheme on top. We pay 100% of our service charge and tips/gratuities to our staff. Pay increase upon probation completion.
Smoke & Salt is an award-winning South London restaurant. We opened our new venue in Tooting during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic and we're now looking to expand our team on our quest to be the best restaurant in South London.
We're looking for a team player who genuinely loves the hospitality industry. We'd love to work with someone with experience in a similar role and at a similar level of establishment, but most of all we're after someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and hard-working.
As a part-time Restaurant Supervisor you will be the face of the restaurant along with your co-supervisor, covering each other over holiday or busy periods, working together to make the experience at Smoke & Salt delightful for our guests. Day to day duties include sales, customer service and preparing drinks for serving to customers. We require the ideal candidate to have an excellent grasp of spoken and written English. However, the most important thing is that you should be willing and open to learn new things every day.
Further duties involve rota writing, appraisals, training FOH members, opening and closing procedures, cashing up and managing private events and bookings. We require candidates to have an excellent grasp of spoken and written English. However, the most important thing is that you should be willing and open to learn new things every day.
The ideal candidate will be reporting directly to the owners of Smoke & Salt and so this is a great opportunity for someone to learn how to open and manage a restaurant as we strive to be transparent as possible within the company. We're hoping to hire someone who's willing to become an integral part of the business and grow alongside us as we look to increase and expand our brand in the future.
Please submit your CV with relevant experience and a short cover letter (no more than 300 words) about why you think you'd be a good fit for the role. Interviews will be conducted before the end of November.
