We are looking for a passionate Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Grange and Lodge.
Cygnet Hospital Grange and Lodge are two 8 bed Neuropsychiatric rehabilitation, care and treatment facilities for those affected by acquired brain injuries. The services provides a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease, like Huntington’s Disease, a caring and long term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.
Your Day-to-Day…
We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Psychology department with;

Contributing to direct and indirect assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written).

Adapting assessment methods, intervention materials in accordance with clients’ communication difficulties, sensory needs or cognitive impairment.

Clinical/neuropsychological formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment

To oversee the gathering and collation of incident data and evidence as part of the functional analysis and formulation.

Communicating results, formulations and recommendations arising from assessments to the multidisciplinary team.

Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes.

Administration, audit, research and service development.

You would receive weekly supervision as well as informal support and development opportunities.
We’re looking for someone who is…
-
Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
-
BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
-
Qualified to Master’s degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
-
Experienced in an Assistant Psychologist role (preferable)
-
Passionate about neuro rehabilitation, learning, and working as part of a multidisciplinary
Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
