Custody Business function aims to expand Bank of China (BOC) Group’s network of UK sub-custodians to increase BOC London Branch’s Assets under Custody, while also collaborating with other market infrastructure providers (ICSDs) to build BOC London Branch’s market capabilities. The Function is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Pricing and Operations Processing.
Custody Services team is responsible for the safekeeping and administration of financial assets, primarily by financial institutions like banks or trust companies, on behalf of individuals or institutions. As a Senior Associate - Custody Governance & Operations, you will be part of the Business Governance and Administration team to support the sustainable business development strategy of Custody Business function (CBF). You will play an important role in the team in managing the associated risks. This is a full time 12 months fixed term contract position.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with processing the assigned administrative tasks

Assist with implementing Head Office guidance and notice, maintaining and updating CBF business procedures

Assist with regular and ad-hoc MI reporting, including collecting data, performing analysis and preparing draft reports

Performs the RCSA internal control testing, as well as collate and report findings to the Head of Department

Collaborate with team members to ensure findings are remediated in line with Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Coordinate with other relevant departments such as the Financial Crime and Compliance and the Risk Management departments to assist and facilitate the functions within CBF
Requirements

Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Business or other relevant discipline

Experience in Compliance, Risk or Control role ideally within the Financial Services sector
