Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CIS Painter/Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites. Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and finishes.
- Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail.
- Protecting surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures during painting activities.
- matching shades to meet project specifications.
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered during work.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment.
- Assisting in the organisation of materials and tools required for each project to optimise workflow.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple sites efficiently.
- Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills are necessary to understand project requirements and provide updates effectively.
