About Beau Bijou Design
We're an independent kitchen design company based in Hebden Bridge, with a showroom and a team of designers working with customers across the UK. Being independent is central to what we do: we're not tied to any one supplier, so our customers get honest advice and a better deal. We're a small, friendly team, and we're growing, which is exactly why this role exists.
About the role
This is a back-office role that keeps the engine running smoothly behind our designers. You'll own the day-to-day accounts admin and order processing that currently sits across the business, freeing up the team to focus on customers. It's a varied role that mixes invoicing and credit control with order management and post-sale coordination, so you'll need to be organised, accurate, and confident working across finance and admin systems.
To be clear, this is not a sales role and there's no cold or pre-sale customer contact. The only customer contact involved is friendly, practical post-sale communication, such as letting people know their products are on the way or arranging a worktop template appointment. All usually by email.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and editing balance invoices in HubSpot and issuing them through Xero
- Credit control: chasing outstanding invoices and keeping payments on track
- Entering supplier invoices into Dext and Xero, and flagging unpaid invoices for authorisation
- Handling bank and transaction queries from our accountant
- Logging new sales and leads onto our tracking spreadsheet
- Routing incoming supplier emails to the right designer, and chasing post-sale actions such as worktop template bookings
- Raising and managing supplier orders for products such as sinks, taps and appliances once a sale is placed, then tracking those orders and keeping customers updated with delivery information
- General accounts and operations admin to keep things running smoothly
What we're looking for
- Experience with Xero is a nice to have as training is given but you should be comfortable raising invoices and managing the basics confidently
- Some accounts or bookkeeping admin background, with genuine attention to detail. This role handles money, so accuracy matters
- Well organised, with the ability to own your own workload and keep multiple jobs moving without being chased
- Clear, professional written communication for customer and supplier emails
- Comfortable picking up new software and working across systems
- Reliable, proactive, and happy working as part of a small team
Nice to have
- Experience with Dext or a similar invoice processing tool
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
- Credit control experience
- Any background in kitchens, interiors, construction or a similar trade
Why join us
You'll be joining a genuine independent business with an amazing reputation and a friendly, down-to-earth team. There's real scope to make the role your own and shape how things are done, and as we grow, so will the opportunities. If you like variety, take pride in getting the detail right, and want to be the person everyone relies on to keep things ticking, we'd love to hear from you.
