Role Overview
Support project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, reporting, and project governance activities.
Duties
- Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring clear communication and effective team management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Project Server.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify project risks, delays, or cost overruns, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Gather and document project requirements through stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering techniques.
- Control project costs by analysing financial data, managing budgets, and implementing cost control measures.
- Utilise ERP systems such as Workday or Salesforce for resource planning and data management.
- Manage project documentation using content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Apply various project management methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, or Agile frameworks like Jira or Smartsheet for effective delivery.
- Analyse data to support decision-making processes and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication across departments using tools such as Visio, ServiceNow, or Slack to streamline workflows.
- Support product management activities related to project development and delivery of solutions aligned with organisational goals.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a project controls or programme delivery environment.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, risk management, and problem resolution within complex projects.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Extensive experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders to inform project scope and objectives.
- Proficiency in ERP systems including Workday or Salesforce; familiarity with project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheet is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Experience in cost control techniques and financial analysis related to large-scale projects.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication skills for presenting information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Knowledge of various project methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, Agile (Jira), or Product Development frameworks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence; experience with data analysis tools such as SAS is advantageous.
