As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. And by transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. You will be expected to support our domestic operations exhibitions team which look after our nominated exhibitions in the UK and abroad. This will include end to end coordination of shipments in and out of the events, quoting clients, managing internal and external agents, budget control. Travel opportunities available to support onsite handling and final mile delivery.
- Support current client portfolio of work
- Client facing engagement on exhibition schedules, pricing and operational delivery and attend client meetings as required
- Travel to support the events onsite operations
- Manage multimodal logistic requirements, including large, time sensitive freight bookings andTraffic Management
- Onsite project management of events in location when required
- Management of budgets ensuring commercial objectives are delivered
- Promote innovation and technology as improvement tools
- Coordinate shipments in and out of the events
- Arrange customs clearance for import and export shipments
- Proactively manage and discharge shipments imported under Temporary Admission
- Experience of working proactively to overcome operational challenges
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines.
- Multimodal Operational Experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high pressure environments
- Customer oriented – willing to go above and beyond for the customer
- Problem solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast paced constant change environment
