MAX Automotive Group Ltd is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Diagnostic / Master Technician to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and complex repairs whilst working in a modern, progressive workshop environment.
We operate across two workshop facilities, including a dedicated EV & Hybrid / Future-Ready Workshop, supporting retail, fleet, light commercial vehicle and warranty customers.
The Role
You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles whilst supporting other technicians with complex technical issues.
Duties include:
✅ Advanced vehicle diagnostics
✅ Fault finding and electrical diagnosis
✅ Engine, timing chain and timing belt repairs
✅ DPF, AdBlue and emissions diagnostics
✅ Dealer-level diagnostics and programming
✅ Hybrid and EV diagnostics and repairs
✅ Fleet and light commercial vehicle maintenance
✅ Carrying out vehicle health checks
✅ Supporting workshop quality and technical standards
✅ Assisting junior technicians and apprentices
Essential Requirements
✔ Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
✔ Proven diagnostic and fault-finding experience
✔ Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
✔ Ability to work independently
✔ Full UK Driving Licence
✔ High attention to detail
✔ Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable
⭐ IMI Diagnostic Technician Qualification
⭐ EV / Hybrid Qualification
⭐ Manufacturer training experience
⭐ Light Commercial vehicle experience
⭐ Programming and coding experience
