Job Introduction
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as 'just' a housing provider, but we're so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they're proud to call home, but we're also all about making a positive difference in people's lives.
We've got big plans to overhaul the traditional customer service offer, build new homes that are truly future-proof and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work.
As our new Commercial Assets Manager, you'll play a key role in leading and improving our commercial and non-social housing services. You'll be responsible for a diverse portfolio including market rent, rent to buy, intermediate rent, garages, commercial leases, external management company relationships and customer relocations linked to asset decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to shape services, support customers and lead a talented team in an area that is critical to Yorkshire Housing's future success.

What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Head of Homeownership and Commercial Assets, you'll lead six direct reports across three key service areas: Commercial Asset Management, Customer Relocation and Non-Social Lets. You'll provide day-to-day line management, ensuring the team has the support, autonomy and confidence to make decisions and deliver excellent outcomes for customers.
You'll be accountable for operational performance across these services, driving service improvements and strengthening key processes. You'll also oversee escalated customer issues and complaints, balancing excellent customer service with compliance, risk management and value for money. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently juggle competing priorities and is comfortable making decisions where no established process exists. You'll work collaboratively across Yorkshire Housing and with external partners to make sure our services are effective, responsive and fit for the future.
