National Pile Croppers Ltd is a growing plant hire company based in Barton-under-Needwood, supplying equipment to the construction industry.
We're looking for a Class 2 Driver / Fitter to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll spend part of your time out on the road delivering and collecting equipment, and part of your time working with excavators and fitting attachments.
If you enjoy driving but don't want to spend your entire working day sat behind the wheel, this could be a great fit.
The role
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering and collecting plant and equipment from construction sites
- Loading and securing equipment safely for transport
- Fitting pile croppers to excavators
- Working with customers and site teams when delivering equipment
- Carrying out basic equipment and vehicle checks
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork
- Ensuring the vehicle and equipment are kept clean and in good condition
- Representing the company professionally when out on site
You'll be working with a range of construction equipment, so every day brings something different.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and happy getting stuck in.
You'll need:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph
- A good attitude towards safety and vehicle/load security
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn
Experience working with plant, excavators, construction equipment or mechanical fitting would be an advantage, but we're happy to consider someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn.

- £37,000 basic salary
- 50 hours guaranteed every week
- Overtime paid after 50 hours
