We are seeking a reliable and friendly individual to join our team as a Bar Staff/Night Porter Relief. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests during night shifts. Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and refreshments to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
- Monitor guest behaviour to ensure safety and adherence to venue policies
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic maths skills
- Support the night porter duties, including security checks and ensuring premises are secure overnight
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, providing excellent customer service
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth operations during your shift
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, serving, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and stay alert throughout your shift
- A responsible attitude towards security and guest wellbeing
- Flexibility to work during night hours, including weekends if required
