Hybrid Asset Solutions Ltd (HAS) is a fast-growing facilities and asset management business, delivering reactive, planned preventative and project mechanical services to domestic and commercial clients across the North West. As we head into our busiest period on record, we're expanding our mechanical team and looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join us.
The Role
As our Gas Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for gas and plumbing repairs, installations and servicing across a varied portfolio of domestic and commercial sites. You'll work closely with our in-house trades, contractors and project managers, delivering a professional, safety-first service that our clients can rely on.
What You'll Be Doing
- Attending and responding to emergency gas and plumbing repairs
- Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing faults across gas systems, pipework, valves, fittings and fixtures
- Installing, commissioning, servicing and decommissioning gas appliances
- Carrying out gas safety inspections and issuing the correct certification and documentation
- Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with client SLAs, with accurate paperwork and digital records
- Supporting installation and upgrade project works at domestic and commercial sites
- Representing HAS professionally on client sites and delivering excellent customer service
- Maintaining full compliance with Gas Safe regulations, risk assessments and statutory documentation
- Participating in the on-call rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in gas engineering and plumbing
- Current, valid Gas Safe registration with ACS competencies in core domestic gas, including CCN1
- G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinders qualification
- Relevant appliance categories as a minimum – commercial competencies are a distinct advantage
- A full, clean UK driving licence – essential, as you'll operate a company van daily
- Strong working knowledge of Gas Safe regulations, current gas safety legislation and industry best practice
- Good literacy and numeracy, sufficient to complete job records, risk assessments and gas safety documentation accurately
- A flexible approach, a requirement of this role is a willingness to work away from the North West home base and join the on-call rota
What We Offer
- Salary of £38,000 – £42,000, dependent on experience
