Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Parts Manager to join our John Deere dealership team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing parts and inventory ensuring smooth operations within our workshop and an industry leading service level to our customers. The role requires a proactive approach to customer service and organisational efficiency, supporting the overall success of our business.
Duties
- Assist our technicians and customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts, providing expert advice where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory.
- Process orders efficiently via phone and email and in person, ensuring excellent customer interaction.
- Manage stock levels, organise storage areas, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Support down time targets by ensuring parts are readily available for repairs and servicing.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty parts professionally and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in a parts advisory or customer service role within the automotive, agricultural or grass machinery industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or an equivalent parts management system.
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal communication and professional phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures or technical understanding related to vehicle, plant or other similar equipment is desirable.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
