Weekend, Daytime and Evening availability is essential to this role.
PAY IS REVIEWED ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Progression in house is available for right candidate -
Between 20 and 40 hours per week.
Due to the rural location own transport is essential - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A LIVE IN POSITION.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Support the kitchen team with basic cooking tasks, including chopping, plating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies to keep the kitchen well-equipped
- Follow all food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Serve food to customers when required, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience
Skills
- Experience in catering or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic serving skills to assist with customer interactions when necessary
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is essential; enthusiasm and commitment are key
