Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of roofing sites, including organizing materials and tools
- Support roofers in handling and installing roofing materials according to project plans and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to move materials such as shingles, plywood, or metal sheets around the site
- Aid in fabricating and cutting materials using saws, drills, and other construction tools
- Help with site cleanup, debris removal, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other trades as needed to facilitate seamless project progress
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction processes and familiarity with schematics is a plus
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, or fabrication is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Prior construction or roofing experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, plumbing or related trades is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety standards and teamwork
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
