Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our well established independently owned very busy mixed NHS/Private High street practice.
It is a modern practice fully equipped with digital x-rays and OPG. You’ll be joining a team of qualified and dedicated nurses who are working with Dentists and in house specialist Endodontist, Oral Surgery and Implant dentists.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting dental professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the smooth operation of daily practice activities, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. The position is suitable for both experienced nurses and those in training eager to gain practical experience in a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment advice, ensuring they understand care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Ensure the practice environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience in patient care or nursing is advantageous but not essential for trainees; relevant training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT literacy to handle patient records and practice management systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a busy dental environment
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care
- For trainees, a genuine interest in developing a career within dental nursing is essential; qualified candidates must hold relevant certifications or registration as a dental nurse
