Job Purpose:
Support the Home Manager in the daily running of the children’s home, ensuring high-quality care, staff leadership, and full regulatory compliance in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support staff, including rotas, supervisions, audits, and recruitment.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and implement individual care plans.
- Manage behaviour support and promote children’s wellbeing, health, and emotional needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, local authorities, and Ofsted.
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Support budgeting and financial controls for the home.
- Promote positive communication, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 3 Residential Children's Health and Social Care (required); Level 5 Leadership & Management (desirable).
- Proven managerial experience with strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations.
- Residential care experience with solid safeguarding knowledge.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time; includes evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call duties.
- Occasional travel for external meetings.
