Overview
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards and ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental regulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough MOT inspections on a variety of vehicle makes and models, ensuring compliance with current legal standards.
- Identify and diagnose mechanical issues using specialised tools and equipment.
- Complete detailed inspection reports and communicate findings clearly to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections performed, adhering to company and legal documentation requirements.
- Assist with minor repairs or adjustments as necessary to ensure vehicles pass inspection.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on vehicles or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle inspections.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle components or parts.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Valid MOT testing licence or willingness to undertake training to obtain one.
- Good communication skills to explain inspection results clearly to customers.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £26,306.47-£30,000.00 per year
