Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported
- Observe and assess each child's progress, maintaining detailed records to inform future planning
- Lead and supervise team members, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure best practices in childcare
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, needs, and achievements
- Manage daily routines including meal times, play sessions, rest periods, and hygiene practices
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years frameworks
Qualifications
- Recognized qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification)
- Proven experience working with children in nursery or preschool settings
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and team coordination
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Valid driving license is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Ability to work flexibly across different shifts as required

Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 45.0 per week
