Clearing & Payments department supports the bank in a back office capacity, supporting the bank’s operational processing for various banking products, working with the retail branches and Front office teams to support London Branch and Subsidiary customers. As an Assistant Business Support – Mandarin Speaking within the Clearing Middle Office team, you will provide support to key operational control processes and ensure the smooth running of operations of the department. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day departmental administrative activities to support the effective operations of the Clearing Middle Office

Monitor team and department mailboxes, distribute enquiries and follow up outstanding actions

Coordinate departmental reporting, meeting materials, meeting minutes and action tracking

Assist with document management, SharePoint administration and maintenance of departmental records

Support departmental activities including fixed asset management, archive coordination, expense administration and other business support activities

Assist with organising departmental meetings, training sessions and team-building activities

Support the processing and monitoring of key Clearing Middle Office operational activities, including reconciliations, account administration, SWIFT RMA, EMIR reporting and user management

Perform routine operational checks and assist with resolving day-to-day operational issues

Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure operational requests are completed accurately and within agreed timelines

Prepare and consolidate operational reports and Management Information (MI) for internal stakeholders and Head Office
Requirements

Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant subjects

Relevant experience in office administration or business support role within Financial Services ideally Banking

Experience in preparing reports and consolidating data

Basic understanding of banking operations or payment processes is desirable but not essential

Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
