Mother Goose Corner Nursery and Pre-School is an Ofsted-graded Outstanding setting, nestled in the heart of Huntingdon and set on the beautiful Spring Common amidst various local community amenities. Caring for children from birth to primary school age, we are proud to have a dedicated team who strive to deliver excellence in care and education to each of the goslings we have on our register.
What are we looking for?
The Nursery is looking for a caring, thoughtful and emotionally mature Level 3-qualified Room Leader who is willing to join a dynamic, proactive, professional and forward-thinking staff body. The post can be offered on a 4 or 5 day per week working pattern, of 9 paid hours per day.
In addition to other qualities, our new team member will be required to:
- Liaise closely with our Senior Team to help fulfil the Nursery’s vision of providing the very best Early Years experience for each of the children on our register
- Be jointly responsible for the day-to-day management of their own Room and team
- Promote best practice through leading by example and focussing on creating a warm, caring and unique environment for all
- Support, jointly lead and promote exemplary safeguarding, child protection, equality and diversity throughout all areas of care and practice
- Have a child-led approach, ensuring that observations and planning of your room team meet the needs of each individual child, that their developmental learning journeys are up to date, and their progress is effectively monitored
- Value and nurture your and your colleagues’ relationships with all children, families, colleagues and external professionals with whom you have contact
- Take on the responsibility of being 'key person' to build close, warm and professional relationships with your own small group of key children and their families, and support your colleagues to do the same through leading by example
- Have a genuine interest in your own personal development and growth, and also that of your colleagues, for the betterment and improvement of the Nursery’s quality of care and provision.

Safeguarding and Child Protection
The Nursery is committed to the safeguarding of all children. As such, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will also be required to provide two references from previous employers. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Pay: £14.50-£14.75 per hour
