Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys on commercial properties to assess the feasibility of solar PV, battery and EV charger installations
- Collect and analyse data related to energy usage, roof space, shading, site logistics, and access
- Design solar PV systems using specialised software
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, ensuring smooth communication and project flow
- Respond to customer queries, providing clear and helpful information about solar PV systems during site surveys
- Work collaboratively with the project team to finalise system designs and prepare installation documentation
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of solar PV systems
Essentials:
- Understanding of electrical principles, construction codes, or building structures (e.g. roof types) in commercial properties
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical details to non-technical customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively
- Strong IT skills and experience with design software
- A valid full driver’s license
- Experience in Solar PV
Your base of Operations: Office, warehouse, and beyond
Our head office is in Chippenham, Wiltshire, with additional offices and warehouses in Lincoln, Ringwood (Hampshire), and Kent. For this role, we’re looking for candidates based in the Reading area. The position will involve some travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Our working hours are 40 a week, Monday - Friday.
