Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Serve food and beverages accurately and promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and bar
- Handle cash and card payments accurately using the POS system
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Replenish stock levels at the bar and service stations as needed
- Assist in setting up tables for service and clearing after guests leave
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and drinks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service even during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Personable attitude with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse customers
