Bealings Primary School is seeking a caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the primary age range. You will work closely with teachers to help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The role will include supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and make positive progress.
Your responsibilities will include:

support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the primary curriculum
-
work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and build confidence
-
provide additional support for pupils with SEND, adapting activities where appropriate to enable full participation in learning
-
support the implementation of teacher-led strategies and interventions to help pupils achieve their learning goals
-
promote positive behaviour and encourage independence, resilience, and self-esteem
-
assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials
-
monitor pupil engagement and progress, sharing observations with the class teacher
-
support pupils during break times, educational visits, and extracurricular activities
-
contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

assist with classroom organisation, displays, and administrative tasks.
Skills required:

Experience working with primary-aged children.

An understanding of how to support children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Flexible and adaptable in supporting the varying needs of children.
