Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, with precision and adherence to all road safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals at various locations
- Secure loads properly, especially when handling flatbed cargo, to prevent damage during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and vehicle checklists
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle, adhering to company standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driving professional, preferably with delivery driver experience in a fast-paced environment
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record
- Experience with flatbed transportation and securing cargo safely during transit
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, transportation laws, and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo when necessary
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools or GPS systems
