Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Service Manager to join our vibrant care team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Service Manager in delivering exceptional care within a busy domiciliary care setting service.
Your leadership will ensure the delivery of person-centered services, uphold high standards of safety and compliance, and foster a warm, welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Duties
- Assist the Service Manager in overseeing daily operations of the busy domiciliary care service, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each clients needs.
- Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting best practices in person centred care, medication administration, and overall care and support
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards across all areas of service
- Lead by example in delivering compassionate, respectful care that enhances clients’ quality of life
- Participate in audits, inspections, and reviews to uphold regulatory requirements and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience
- Proven experience working within a care setting, preferably domiciliary care
- Demonstrable supervisory or management experience within a care home or home care setting
- Strong knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
- Familiarity with managing clients with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively
- Knowledge of best practices in dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies
- Previous experience supervising staff in a healthcare or social care environment is highly desirable
- Experience of palliative care, Mental Health Conditions, sensory needs

You will be joining a fantastic team of experience care professionals who have embedded a supportive and welcomIng environment within our domiciliary care service.
You will be based at our Stafford office (ST16 3EL) which currently supports clients in the community of all ages a‘d needs across the whole of Staffordshire County Council and Stoke-on-Trent.
Our Staffordshire branch currently delivers approximately 2000 hours of care per week.

You will be based at our Stafford Office - Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00. Our service covers all of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent and we are recruiting due to expansion.
This role will involve participating in our out of hours rota, you will be paid additional to this and can earn approximately £200-£400 extra per month.
