About the Role
Secure Watch Group is seeking a professional, reliable and customer-focused SIA Security Officer to provide a safe and welcoming environment at Nando's Blackpool. You will be the first point of contact for customers and staff, ensuring the premises remain secure while delivering excellent customer service.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced security professional who is confident working in a busy hospitality environment and can remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a visible security presence throughout the premises.
- Welcome customers and assist with any security-related enquiries.
- Monitor customer behaviour and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Prevent theft, anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.
- Manage conflict professionally using effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and disturbances.
- Liaise with restaurant management, emergency services and local authorities when required.
- Carry out regular internal and external patrols.
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Support staff by maintaining a safe working environment.
- Assist with opening and closing security procedures where required.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Good written and verbal English.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Previous experience within hospitality, restaurants, retail or licensed premises.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Conflict Management or Physical Intervention refresher training.
- CCTV Licence (advantageous but not essential).
