We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and reliable team player to join our growing team, based in Cornwall.
We provide research and support services to professional and membership organisations across the UK, with much of our work involving telephone research and contacting individuals on behalf of our clients.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday. The role is primarily home-based, with some office and team-based working from our St. Austell office.
The role
You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, making telephone calls on behalf of our clients and gathering accurate information through conversations with members and other contacts.
The role will include:
- Making outbound telephone calls to members and contacts.
- Speaking confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
- Gathering both quantitative and qualitative information through telephone conversations.
- Accurately recording information and updating records using our systems.
- Following agreed research questions and processes while being able to have a natural conversation.
- Working closely with colleagues to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Supporting a range of different projects across the membership and professional sectors.
Previous experience in outbound telephone work is preferred, however full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, confidence and a willingness to learn.
About you
We are looking for someone who is confident speaking to people on the telephone and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will ideally have:
- An excellent telephone manner and the confidence to speak with a wide range of people.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good computer skills, with accurate typing and the ability to learn new systems.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately.
- A positive and professional approach to work.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to the wider team.
- Reliability, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Home working
As the role involves working from home, you will need a suitable office or office-like environment where you can work comfortably and professionally.
You will also need reliable broadband and a quiet environment suitable for making telephone calls.
Applicants should be based within approximately two hours of St. Austell, Cornwall, as there will be occasions where you will be required to work from our office or attend team meetings.
We will provide all the equipment you need to carry out the role, including a laptop and headset.
