Are you awesome? Do you want to help us convert classic cars to electric? Or maybe boats take your fancy? We would love someone to come and develop some skills with assembly, soldering, repairing and building electric drive systems. Ideal for a recent graduate, or equivalent engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, T-level etc).The role itself is full time and primarily on-site role based at our Gateshead lab - but we do support flexible working and can work from home as needed. Understandably, with the nature of a technician having the necessary equipment onsite at our wonderful lab rather than at home.
Duties // Day to Day in this role
We have a small team and would love to have someone who is interested in the key responsibilities include assembling, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment (especially associated with also building the electric projects), with a particular focus on electric drive system components. All training can be provided, you will not be on your own! The technician will be tasked with troubleshooting electrical issues, performing soldering tasks, and ensuring the proper functioning of motors, controllers, and battery systems. Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to quality standards are essential for success in this role.
Desirable Qualifications/experience
- Some proficiency in Electronics Technology and practical knowledge of Electrical systems
- Some experience with Soldering and Troubleshooting electronic components
- Interest or skills in Maintenance and Repair of electronic and electric drive system components
- Enjoy problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, on-site environment
Pay: £24,420.00-£43,245.02 per year
